Adventurous Minds mission is to make every child feel welcomed, excepted, loved, and treated like an individual. Each child is special in their own way and has wonderful qualities. Not all children learn the same way, and we understand that here at Adventurous Minds. We believe every child deserves a safe, fun, and welcoming place to learn and grow, to be themselves and have both great teachers and friends. 

Adventurous Minds has been completing its mission for children for more than 25 years. It was founded by the owner, Tracy Avalon, when she saw a need for better quality childcare. A place where children can run outside everyday to nurture their young growing bodies and imagination, but also have a curriculum to help each child learn and be the best they can be. 

Tracy knew early on in her life she wanted to work with children, she was a nanny and decided to pursue a degree in Early Education. After her degree she started enrolling children in her care and has built it to what Adventurous Minds is today!

We are licensed by the State of Oregon Childcare Division to care for children. Everyone has a background check, each teacher meets strict education requirements and preschools meet health inspector standards. CCD has given approval for Tracy to run two homes. In addition we adhere to strict guidelines for excellent childcare we provide every day. 

Tracy currently holds a high level with the Oregon Registry, CDA (early education degree), credential for infant/toddler and accredited through National Associates of Family Childcare. 

Adventurous Minds has two properties, both sitting on large half acre lots. We are able to adventure into the outdoors and create with the children's imagination. Inside is designed for children of every age from hands on sensory, messy art, etc. We also provide healthy meals and snacks for the children in accordance with the U.S.D.A Food Program.
